|Floodex London coming November 2021|
|For a few years now, there has been an on-going conversation about the vacuum left in the South of England for a flood and water level management event. Next year Floodex will be filling that void at ExCeL, London.|
We’re also delighted to be able to announce that we’ll be co-located with the National Drainage Show, which was originally scheduled to be run in April, with the support of the National Association of Drainage Contractors, Drain Trader magazine and the Environment Agency.
“The co-location with the National Drainage Show is a perfect fit,” comments event director Jon Irwin, he adds, “For the construction and utilities sectors, drainage is critical infrastructure. Done well, it mitigates against flood risk, which is where there is a really good cross-over between the two events.”
There is tremendous interest from the construction and highways industry, in an event that specifically focusses on drains and drainage systems, rather than have it as a footnote in general construction events.
Positive conversations are already taking place with the LGA Coastal SIG and the British Harbour Masters Association, as the events will cater for those businesses with solutions for coastal communities as well as urban and rural flood and drainage issues.
November dates mean that any risks associated with Covid will have dissipated, thanks largely to the successful vaccine rollout by the summer.
The new NDS website will go live shortly, but we can provide further details on the National Drainage Show, in the meantime, if needed. Contact Jon via our CONTACT page, in the menatime.
