SWIG
The Sensors for Water Interest Group (SWIG) is a not for profit, knowledge-exchange and networking group with a diverse UK-wide membership. SWIG focuses on the use of sensor and associated technologies for measurement and control in water and wastewater treatment processes and infrastructure, and in natural environments and waters. Our networking activities include a varied programme of technical workshops covering all aspects of water sensing, which offer a cost-effective means of keeping up-to-date with sensor developments, new technologies and regulations. Invited speakers and enthusiastic audiences are able to debate issues of measurement and control in water and wastewater.

Water UK
On behalf of our members, we engage with Defra, other government departments, regulatory bodies (such as Ofwat, the Environment Agency, the Drinking Water Inspectorate) and consumer bodies - and their equivalents in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Water UK is a membership organisation which represents and works with the major water and wastewater service providers in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. We are active participants in EurEau, the European Federation of National Associations of Water and Wastewater Services. This provides a powerful platform for the industry within the European institutions. We also work with a wide range of partners, industry bodies, NGOs and stakeholders in support of our vision of a trusted water sector.
